Manual Osteopathy in North Vancouver
Fixing the main cause, not just where it hurts. I am Saba Sedighi, a Registered Manual Osteopath. I often combine manual osteopathy with Pilates or gym exercises, so the effects last.
What it is
One body, one connected system
Manual osteopathy is hands-on therapy that treats the body as one connected system. Rather than focusing only on the painful spot, it works with the muscles, joints, fascia and nervous system together to ease restriction, restore movement and support the body's own healing.
This is manual osteopathy, not energy healing. I find and fix the main cause of the problem, not just where it hurts. Then I often combine it with Pilates on the reformer or with gym exercises, so the effects last.
Who I help
Where it often helps
- Back and neck pain
- Jaw and TMJ tension
- Headaches
- Whiplash and concussion recovery
- Chronic pain that keeps returning
- Tension held after stress or trauma
- Posture and restricted movement
- Lingering aches other treatments have not resolved
What to expect
Honest about the process
It can feel deep
I work to the root of the problem, so sessions are not always gentle. Nothing is forced, and you can ask me to change the pressure at any moment.
A flare can be normal
Some people feel sore, or have a flare for a day or two after, as the body settles. That is a normal part of the process.
Then we rebuild
Fixing the cause is half of it. Pilates on the reformer or gym exercises rebuild strength around the change, so the effects last.
Coverage
Extended health benefits
I accept all insurance companies for manual osteopathy, including Canada Life and Sun Life. Coverage depends on your plan, and I am happy to help you check yours before you begin. No referral is needed.

After losing over 30 kg and earning a swimming championship while competing nationally in basketball and volleyball, I found my passion for rehabilitation and human movement. I studied kinesiology at the University of British Columbia and became a Registered Kinesiologist, then trained as a Manual Osteopath at the National Academy of Osteopathy and as a clinical Pilates instructor.
My care is intuitive and trauma-informed, and I work on a lot of chronic issues. I am a member of BCAOMP and serve as one of its directors.

I honestly can't say enough good things. She blends her kinesiology, Osteopathy, and pilates expertise into the most effective treatment I've received. Can't recommend her enough!
Saba's work is truly exceptional! Her treatment produced remarkable results in an incredibly short period of time. After living with chronic knee and back pain for six years, I experienced an improvement that previous treatments had not been able to achieve.
Saba is incredible! She is deeply knowledgeable about the body, how it moves, and how to support injury recovery in a thoughtful and effective way. I've already recommended her to several friends. Highly recommend!
