After a crash

A softer, steadier way back

A car accident shakes more than your body. Whiplash, headaches, dizziness, brain fog, broken sleep, a nervous system stuck on high alert — recovery isn’t a straight line, and it shouldn’t be rushed. My approach is calm and graded: we settle the system first, then rebuild, at a pace set by how you actually feel.

As a Registered Kinesiologist and Manual Osteopath, I combine hands-on work to quiet the body with carefully progressed movement — so you return to driving, work and life feeling steady, not overwhelmed.

Symptoms I help with

What recovery looks like

Whiplash & neck painStiffness, headaches and the ache that follows a sudden jolt.
Concussion symptomsBrain fog, light or screen sensitivity, dizziness, fatigue.
A system on high alertAnxiety, poor sleep, feeling wired and tired since the crash.
Loss of confidenceNervous to drive, move or return to work — we rebuild that slowly.
ICBC coverage

Covered, with no referral to start

As an ICBC-approved provider, I can begin your active rehabilitation as soon as you have an open claim. For the first 12 weeks after a crash, kinesiology is pre-approved — you don’t need a doctor’s referral or ICBC pre-authorization to start. You just need your ICBC claim number and Personal Health Number, and I bill ICBC directly.

If your recovery needs more time beyond the pre-approved sessions, I prepare the report to request an extension on your behalf. Approvals aren’t guaranteed, but thorough documentation gives you the strongest case.

The simple version

  • Kinesiology is pre-approved for your first 12 weeks
  • No doctor’s referral needed to begin
  • Direct billing to ICBC — no upfront cost for approved care
  • I handle the paperwork and extension requests
What to expect

Paced to you

  1. Gentle assessment. We map your injuries, symptoms and what daily life looks like right now.
  2. Settle the system. Hands-on work and breathing to calm a nervous system stuck in overdrive.
  3. Graded movement. We add load only as your symptoms allow — never pushing through a flare.
  4. Back to life. A steady return to driving, work and the activities that matter to you.

“Saba’s treatment produced remarkable results in an incredibly short period of time. After living with chronic knee and back pain for six years, I experienced an improvement previous treatments could not achieve.”— sara

Common questions

Do I need a referral to start active rehab with ICBC?

No. For the first 12 weeks after a crash, kinesiology and active rehabilitation are pre-approved by ICBC — you don’t need a doctor’s referral or ICBC approval to begin. You just need your ICBC claim number and Personal Health Number.

Does ICBC cover the cost?

Yes. Under ICBC’s Enhanced Care, approved treatments are covered with no upfront cost to you for the pre-approved sessions. Saba is an ICBC-approved provider and bills ICBC directly.

How soon after my accident can I start?

As soon as you have an open ICBC claim. Starting active rehabilitation early often helps recovery, especially for rebuilding confidence in movement after whiplash or a concussion.

What is whiplash (WAD)?

Whiplash, or Whiplash-Associated Disorder, is the neck and upper-body strain caused by a sudden back-and-forth movement in a crash. It can bring neck pain, headaches, stiffness, dizziness and difficulty concentrating.

What if I need more than the pre-approved sessions?

If you’re still recovering after the pre-approved sessions, Saba prepares a report to request a benefit extension from ICBC on your behalf. Extensions aren’t automatic, but clear documentation of your progress and needs gives the strongest case.
